Lucky Pet launches SA's first cat census

Pet food brand Lucky Pet has launched South Africa’s first cat census in an effort to learn more about cats and their owners.
The Supreme Cat Census was launched in early March and will run for six weeks. To date, a week into the campaign, over a thousand cats have been counted. The census will gather information about cat lovers and their cats, including how many and what kind of cats owners have, what they feed them, and quirky details such as popular names and whether they are ‘left or right pawed’.
The information will be pulled together and shared with the public at the end of the campaign, and Lucky Pet will also use this information to fine tune their marketing going forward.

Lucky Pet already engages with a thriving community of cat lovers via their Facebook page. With close on 4000 fans, the page plays host to conversations and discussions about cats, with members commenting and posting pictures on a daily basis.
