ROYCO® relaunches its Packet Soups with a striking new look and 4 delicious new variants

Feb 19th, 11:44

ROYCO®, one of South Africa’s most trusted food brands, has relaunched its entire range of Packet Soups with a bright new look, great tasting recipes and four brand new variants that will help busy moms cook delicious meals for their families every time.

Consumers will be stocking up their kitchens with all their favourite, great tasting ROYCO® Packet Soups. The new variants, Beef & Onion; Chakalaka; Curry Vegetable and Oxtail & Vegetable deliver extra flavour and richness for stews and casseroles. All ROYCO® Packet Soups have been relaunched in striking bright red, eco-friendly packaging which has 25% less impact on the environment than regular soup packaging. This means that consumers can now make a better choice for the planet when doing their grocery shopping.

The new packs also inform consumers that for every pack of ROYCO® Packet Soup they buy, they help feed a hungry child. ROYCO® is part of a nation-wide soup kitchen initiative that feeds 10 000 South Africans living in poverty every day. As this serving of soup may be their only meal for the day, ROYCO® provides the soup kitchens with a specially formulated soup, fortified with essential vitamins and minerals for extra nourishment. By giving these children a fortified cup of ROYCO® soup, it allows them to be the best that they can be.

South Africans have trusted ROYCO® for nearly 60 years to help put hearty and delicious meals on the table. With a greater choice of 17 SKU’s, the redesigned, bright red packs have great appetite appeal and improved product information ensuring ROYCO® Packet Soup has more impact on shelf. The improved recipes more than live up to the “Delicious. Every time” brand promise and tastes better than ever!

To maximise awareness, trial and purchase, ROYCO® is supporting the relaunch with a massive sampling campaign and TV advertising during the course of 2013.

With the colder weather approaching, consumers will be looking for the new red ROYCO® Packet Soup for hearty stews, so keep your shelves well stocked.
