Sumatra Trading, the manufacturer Bubbilee soft drinks, has paid for and donated a Z-CARD® to various organisations within its community - including Lifeline, Child Welfare South Africa, Bella Maria and the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (Sanca) – to generate awareness around domestic violence and women abuse and the 16 Days of Activism campaign that’s held annually in December.
“Bubbilee has great compassion for South Africans and is constantly involved in supporting the community, welfare organisations, NGOs and other charity events,” explains Marketing Manager, Marissa Jechalik.
“The Z-CARD®s where handed out to citizens at local shopping centres to make them aware of the support systems around them should they be affected by domestic violence,” says Jechalik.
“The cards are easy to use, small enough to fit into a pocket or handbag and contain all of the necessary information that we wanted to portray,” she adds.
The Z-CARD®, themed ‘Healing Heart with Helping Hands’, provides important information about domestic violence and drug abuse, and generates awareness around various organisations including Lifeline, Bella Maria and Child Welfare South Africa.
“We have had a lot of compliments regarding the layout and design of the card and the amount of information that we managed to fit into such a small ‘brochure’. The Z-CARD®s are still being handed out to various institutions,” says Jechalik.
“PocketMedia® applications have been utilised by numerous corporate companies to spread their corporate social investment messages and to give back to the community,” says John Davis, the Managing Director of PocketMedia® Solutions.
