In a 2nd tie-up with BBC Chef Reza Mahammad and The Good Food and Wine Show, Spekko Rice is launching the 2011 Cook Idols competition. The competition has over R120 000 in cash and values up for grabs, and will culminate at the Good Food and Wine Show in Durban between 28 and 31 July this year.

The winner of the 2nd Spekko Rice Smart Mom with Big Dreams competition is Lungiswa Hans (36) from Port Elizabeth. She plans to spend the R100 000 first prize, to build and equip her dream hair salon in Kwazakele. This is the township where she grew up, where her mom lives, and where most of her customers come from.
