The Look & Feel Good Expo, South Africa’s fastest-growing health, wellness and lifestyle exhibition, is pleased to announce that Clicks has come on board as a major sponsor for the second year in a row.
The expo takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 16 to 18 September 2011, and at Joburg’s Coca-Cola dome from 7 to 9 October 2011.
As an event devoted to all facets of health, wellness, beauty, happiness and fitness, the L&FG Expo features a number of inspirational and informative exhibits, talks and “try-it” activities. Among its major draw-cards is the Clicks Health Zone, which will offer free health assessments by qualified nursing sisters.
Clicks, voted South Africa’s leading health and beauty store for the past two years, is seeing its vision of pre-eminence in health and beauty fast becoming a reality, with over 380 stores, 270 in-store dispensaries nationwide and a holistic approach that encompasses health, lifestyle and general wellbeing.
According to Xanthe Wessels, Marketing Manager: Pharmacy and Clinics at Clicks, “The Look & Feel Good Expo – being South Africa’s premier health, wellness and lifestyle event – is an ideal partner when it comes to showcasing Clicks’ products and services, and building brand equity.”
Last year’s expo attracted 13 000 visitors to the inaugural Cape Town event, and 18 000 to the Joburg expo, and there was immense interest shown in, and demand for, the Clicks health testing offering. “The experience of 2010 signifies that in general, South Africans are becoming more health-conscious and aware of the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle,” said Wessels.
The main theme of the Clicks Health Zone this year will be stress – identifying the symptoms and assessing the causes of stress, and showing visitors how to manage it effectively. Clicks clinic sisters will be conducting free blood pressure checks and providing advice on how to lead a happier, healthier and stress-free life.
One of the focus areas of the Clicks Health Zone will be promoting awareness of stress symptoms that could be linked to adrenal fatigue – a condition known as the 21st century stress syndrome and one that is becoming increasingly prevalent among South Africans.
At the Look & Feel Good Expo, Clicks will also be showcasing a number of the latest health and beauty products on its shelves, with samples of selected items being distributed to visitors. Suppliers will be on hand to demonstrate their products and provide advice, and Clicks will also be running a fantastic competition offering great prizes.
At the expo, Fitness magazine will be hosting the popular Fitness Zone, covering various aspects of health, nutrition, weight loss, muscle building and fitness equipment. The Greening Pavilion will be hosted by Simply Green magazine, with Shape magazine presenting wellness workshops and Odyssey magazine hosting a Holistic Zone geared towards promoting inner and outer harmony. Other attractions include the new Natural and Organics Pavilion, yoga, dancing and laughter workshops, cooking demonstrations, makeovers and spa treatments, and much more.
