Game Gateway will launch its ‘Fresh for Less’ range on 13 November in time for Christmas. This will be the first store in KZN to get a taste of Game’s fresh food offering that has converted numerous shoppers in the Western Cape and Gauteng since its first appearance in the Western Cape in November 2010.
According to Game CEO Robin Wright, 2014 will be a year dedicated to the roll-out of food in Game stores across KZN. “We’re extremely excited about Game at Gateway being the flagship store. The fresh food range fits in with Game’s existing brand identity. There are definite synergies and it is in tune with both Massmart and Game’s promise to deliver unbeatable value to consumers,” said Wright.
Now, in addition to fridges, stoves, DVD players, gym equipment, décor and TV’s that customers have come to love shopping for at Game, the store will also provide pre-packed meat, freshly baked goods and fresh vegetables, just to name a few, all under one roof! They will have mince pies, Christmas cake, fruit pudding and turkey. Game promises to offer product ranges that will suit every customer’s budget.
Promising to save money so that their customers can live better, Game reviews their product pricing weekly. Their research shows that customers will save up to 5% on their usual basket spend when shopping regularly at Game. “Offering food to our customers was a natural progression for us. We want to offer our customers a complete one stop shop where they can get the lowest possible prices across a full basket.”
Game Gateway shoppers can also look forward to a new, revitalized look throughout the store. The newly refurbished Game store will include wider aisles and clearer signage.
“It is going to be an exciting year for us. Our fresh food range has been very well received by our customers since the launch and we expect to have the same reaction with our KZN customers. All of our products are locally sourced so expect spectacular quality at the very best prices,” added Wright.
Customers are invited to get to the store bright and early to join in on some fun and to stand a chance to win some awesome prizes. There will be unbeatable specials running on opening day and throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, all of the excitement will be taking place at the centre court just outside of the Game store. Expect live East Coast radio streaming by radio DJ Peter G as well as food tastings.
