Part of Abba Seafood’s launch range in South Africa is a range of 3 squeeze-me aluminium tubes containing distinct and unforgettable tastes of the sea in the form of creamy spreads : salmon, tuna and roe.
These spreads are the culmination of many years’ worth of research, tastings and successes in flavour and packaging innovation by Abba, who’s highly successful Kalles spread is the top-selling seafood spread in Scandinavia.
The aluminium tubes contain around 150g of creamy magic with distinct tastes that ensure you can identify exactly which seafood you are enjoying – bringing an end to the days of munching through indiscernable tastes in traditional fish pastes.
Packaged in this format, the product is hygienic in that only what is squeezed out is exposed to the air, and there is no possibility of left-overs on your spreading knife finding their way into your creamed seafood spread. The tubes also allow for a long shelf life of 12 months, and an in-fridge life of 28 days after first opening.
The spreads are perfect for use at any tapas-style meal occasion, they can be spread onto bread or avocados or crackers, can be added as a thin layer in sushi preparation, or added into sauces to boost them with a creamy seafood undertone that will keep your guests wondering what secret ingredients impart such delicate and balanced flavours.
Even the humble fried eggs on a Sunday morning now have a new friend on the plate – add some lightly fried sliced tomatoes with a light coat of one of the spreads and watch your plate come alive with flavours. And if your kids need entertaining in the kitchen, get them to design their own meal using the spreads to make faces on toast/crackers!Click here for more information on Abba Seafood
