NEW PRODUCTS

Magic happened when two decoratively engraved chocolate-flavoured biscuits met up with a rich crème filling; OREO cookies were born! Having been around for 100 years, OREO is proud to reveal the new OREO 44g snack pack, currently available in stores nationwide.

What better time to reveal the new packaging than at the beginning of a new year, once kids have returned back to school with the first month of the year, done and dusted.

In the rush of the back-to-school schedule, moms put ease and convenience at the top of their to-do-lists. OREO’s new on-the-go 44g snack packs are perfect for convenient snacking and a great fit for kiddies’ lunch boxes offering mothers simplicity when life gets chaotic. These nifty packs are also available in two delicious flavours; Original and Chocolate Crème. OREO has set out to make moms’ lives that much easier by providing a product that requires no more effort, than placing a tasty treat in their child’s lunch box.

“OREO inspires moments of childlike delight because of its delicious combination of crème and chocolate biscuit and the interactive “twist, lick & dunk” routine that kids love so much,” enthuses Meredith Kelly, Category Lead for Candy & Grocery, Kraft Foods. “OREO is constantly innovating to make the lives of moms easier by providing a product that is convenient, effortless and great tasting.”

The “twist, lick & dunk” ritual has become unique to OREO, and is one that brings families closer together when sharing in this routine. You don’t just eat an OREO, you enjoy it. So here’s the official guide to Twist, Lick, Dunk:

Step 1: Grab your OREO biscuit. Holding each chocolatey biscuit, twist them in opposite directions. Now gently pull them apart revealing the shiny vanilla crème!

Step 2: Lick the creamy filling right away. This is the simplest part isn’t it? Don’t lick it all off, leave some for the dunk!

Step 3: Put the two biscuit halves together. Now, holding it with your fingertips, dunk the whole Oreo in your full glass of milk. Let it soak in the milky goodness before you chew it away.

Cherish precious moments with OREO; look out for this exciting new packaging, currently available in stores nationwide at an RSP (recommended selling price) of R4.99 for 44g snack packs.Click here for more information on Oreo
