IVOhealth is proud to introduce another great new healthcare product: Physicool, an internationally-acclaimed therapeutic bandage that combines cooling with compression, now available in Dis-Chem stores around South Africa. This re-usable cooling bandage is more effective than ice and far easier to use. Ideal to treat inflammation and bruising whilst helping speed up recovery.

Ice has long been used with great success to reduce inflammation, pain and bruising, although it can be messy, uncomfortable and awkward to apply.

Physicool, developed in the UK and newly available in South Africa, is the first therapeutic bandage to combine cooling with compression for the advanced treatment of soft tissue injuries. It cools more effectively than ice and has the added benefit of compression and support. Physicool, a natural cotton bandage containing a harmless coolant, draws heat out, rather than driving cold in instantly treating inflammation and bruising of muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Physicool is comfortable and convenient to use; there is no risk of ‘ice burn’ and the adjustable strap makes it easy to apply in seconds, even if only one hand is available. It has a long-lasting cooling effect even after the bandage has been removed. Once used, or when dry, simply refresh with a squirt of the coolant spray and store in its re-sealable pouch, ready for the next use. This re-usable cooling bandage is a must-have item for everyone’s First Aid kit.

Physicool has been used with success by cricketers, runners, tennis players and other athletes to treat sprains, strains and other injuries and help speed recovery. It is also being used successfully by people with arthritis and has received high praise in the medical field.
