Stellenbosch Vineyards™ is one of South Africa's top wine producers and the country’s fifth largest packaged wine exporter, bringing 80% of our volume to markets around the globe with the rest sold locally.
Its core brands are the successful lifestyle brand Arniston Bay, handcrafted Welmoed, unconventional Versus, the flagship wine Credo. The company prides itself on producing accessible lifestyle wines for every occasion – from laid back afternoons with friends to more formal celebrations. Our head office is based at Welmoed, a wine farm originating back to 1690. Stellenbosh Vineyards, which was previously named 'the company of wine people', was formed in 2006 as a result of a merger between Vinfruco and Stellenbosch Vineyards. Our key resource is our people, their passion for our brands, and wine drinkers who have pride in what we are and what we do. We build sustainable business partnerships with suppliers distributors and customers in the pursuit of performance excellence and profit. Welmoed
Located in Stellenbosch, the farm of Welmoed was first granted to Governor Simon van der Stel in 1690. Over the years, many great wines have been produced in the Welmoed cellar. Today, Welmoed maintains its proud winemaking tradition.
