Spar to enter Middle East market
Dutch food retailer Spar International plans to enter the Middle East, aiming to have 30 stores in the region by the end of 2015, its managing director has said.

South African consumers spent over R116 billion on their credit cards in December 2012, payment clearing house BankservAfrica has said. About R40bn of that was on retail, while another R20bn went towards travelling, eating out and entertainment.
