Gaining a consumer’s loyalty is at the heart of most retail marketing campaigns as retailers battle it out to win over consumers and influence their buying habits. In South Africa, long-term programmes have typically been used to achieve this through loyalty cards and accumulative point systems.
But, there is another strategy retailers can implement to gain customer loyalty in conjunction with these long-term approaches. It’s called a short-term loyalty marketing programme and one which company, BrandLoyalty, is an expert.
We speak to Michiel Reijmer, General Manager of BrandLoyalty South Africa, about short term loyalty marketing programmes and how they work.
